With over 25 years in automotive embedded software and systems, Markus Schupfner’s career is defined by innovation and leadership. As CEO of Qorix, he leverages his vast experience to deliver the next generation of middleware for software-defined vehicle architectures.

Previously, Markus served as Senior Vice President at CARIAD, where he led the development of infotainment solutions for Audi and Porsche. At Aptiv, he was Vice President of Advanced Engineering Software and Digitization, focusing on new EE architecture for software-defined vehicles. As CTO at Visteon Corporation, he oversaw the development of technologies like autonomous driving (“DriveCore”) and cockpit computers (“SmartCore”). Markus’s extensive experience also includes executive roles at Elektrobit, where he led automotive software development, Harman International, and Siemens VDO, where he managed global teams and partnerships. With several patents, he is a recognized innovator in the field.

Dr. Nico Hartmann, an expert in automotive electronics and software with over 25 years of experience, serves as CTO of Qorix.

He began his career at Mercedes-Benz, working on chassis system integration, and later advanced through leadership roles at Mercedes-Benz Technologies, AKKA, and EDAG Engineering. Before joining Qorix, Nico was responsible for corporate R&D software development at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, where he focused on ASIL-D compliant middleware and safety-critical stacks. His extensive expertise in EE system architecture, gained through collaborations with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, enables him to drive Qorix’s mission to create secure, scalable middleware solutions for the mobility ecosystem.
